You may have seen in my recipes that I have have something on there called FryLight. For those who don’t know, FryLight is a 1 calorie spray oil, so you can use this instead of using other oils such as vegetable, olive etc etc.
I know you might be thinking, well I use certain oils for certain types of meals / snacks that I am making, well I completely understand that and agree to a certain extent.
FryLight themselves have a nice range of spray oils and these include Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Rapeseed Oil, Advocado Oil and Butter. on top of those, they have 2 infused oils, 1 is with Chilli and the other is with Garlic. So straight away you can see that there is a huge range of oils to use for your cooking, there should be something suitable for anything and everything.
How do I determin what FryLight to use?
Well for me it is quiet simple on which oils to use, I don’t have the the range at home, I have Sunflower, Olive, Cocnut and Chilli Infused.
For everyday frying I use the Sunflower or Olive Oil, for somthing with a little kick to it, including scrambled eggs, I sometimes use the Chilli Infused Oil and if I am making anything sweet such as Pancakes, then I use the Coconut Oil.
Why do I use FryLight Over Other Oils?
Well I use FryLight instead of other oils, as I find FryLight a lot healthier, it is used on a number of healthy eating plans, such as Slimming World and Weight Watchers, to using this fits in well with a lot of the food that I cook. I have tried Slimming World in the past and FryLight is one of the only changes that I made that I haven’t gone back to old habbits. You will see that if my recipes have a need for some oil, then I will be using FryLight, it is just for ease, convenience and generally the healthier option.
