Welcome to my Hungry Savers Series, every single week I’m going to be bringing you another fantastic blogger, one whos as passionate about food and saving money in the kitchen as I am! I’ve asked them a series of questions that they’ve answered honestly. You can check out the 7 responses below and if you fancy checking them out click here! If you’re a blogger and want to take part in the Hungry Savers Series, then please get in touch. This weeks instalment is from Your Money Sorted.

These are the questions asked:

Tell us about your blog

I started my blog, Your Money Sorted, about a year after I qualified as a Financial Coach. I realised that I could help more people to improve their money mindset, and their financial situation, if I blogged about money. I really love being able to write educational posts that help people to make the most of their money and become happier, healthier and wealthier.

What supermarket do you prefer and why?

My favourite supermarket just now is Lidl, because it offers great value for money. They provide
good quality food at a great price. The only downside is the speed that the checkout assistants go at! Getting through the checkout with a full week’s shopping is a stressful experience!

3 money saving tips for the kitchen

  1. Always plan your meals for the week. You don’t need to plan for each day, but if you plan for 7
dinners, then you can choose which night to have them on.
  2. Once you have planned your meals, make a shopping list and stick to it.
  3. Never throw any food away. Meal planning should help to reduce food waste, but if you do have
anything left over then get creative and find a use for it.

An expensive item you can’t live without in the kitchen and why?

We have just recently been given a Nespresso coffee machine, and I have to admit, I now really enjoy a lovely coffee.

What is your favourite recipe?

Lemon Freeze is yummy! – Recipe to be supplied.

What is your favourite kitchen gadget?

Who or what inspired you to cook?

The fact that I love eating!
