In a bowl, add the dry ingredients and mix until they are all combined.
Pour in the ale/beer and mix until everything is combined.
If the dough gets stiff, add 1-2 tbsp water and mix well.
Tip the dough onto a lightly floured work surface and knead for around 10 minutes.
Once the dough is smooth, add the dough into a bowl that has been sprayed with Frylight.
Cover the bowl with a tea towel and leave until the dough rises for 1 hour.
Pre heat the over to 220°C/428° /Gas 7
After one hour, knock back the dough (remove some of the air from the risen dough) and place into a lined loaf tin.
Bake for 35 - 40 minutes until the loaf is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped underneath.
Leave to cool on a wire rack, enjoy with soup, use for sandwiches and more.
