Yummy Nairns Oatcakes

Crackers, everyone has them at some point right? Even if most people just enjoy them at Christmas with a nice selection of cheese! It doesn’t matter when you enjoy them, but it matters what crackers you actually enjoy eating. I’ve tried some of these bargain buys and they just don’t do it for me, especially at Christmas. I want something that’s going to be the highlight, rival the cheese I eat with them and really savour the taste in the process.

If you haven’t got it yet, in this post I’m going to be talking about crackers; Nairns gluten free crackers in particular. I have to say I had no idea about these crackers until they got in contact and sent me a couple over, I’m unable to talk about the whole range as I just got to sample two of the flavours and if you check out their website there are loads you can enjoy! However I need to tell you how amazing the two I sampled were!

Let’s talk about the cheese oatcake crackers they have first shall we. Obviously they pair the best with cheese, they are the perfect treat for Christmas. I don’t know about you but I love all the different cheese selections you can find in supermarkets and it gets me feeling really festive in the process. I’ve tried these with mild cheese and Double Gloucester cheese so far and I loved them, if I’m being honest we went through the whole box with just them two; so if you love a lot of cheese make sure you buy more than one box.

You can find all the information on the box but for the purpose of this blog post, they are gluten free, high in fibre and have no added sugar. I know a few people who are gluten free so these crackers are amazing, I also have it from a credible source (my partner) that these crackers work very well with vegan cheese that you can pick up these days, didn’t even know vegan cheese was a thing! To say these crackers are versatile would be an understatement. Yummy and well worth it! If you are wondering if these are ok to enjoy on Slimming World, the answer is yes, each oatcake is 2 syns.

Okay so these ones aren’t gluten free so only I was able to enjoy them, which is great because it meant more for me! They taste amazing! First of all they’re high fibre and made with tasty flaxseeds and wholegrain oats; so if that sounds good to you go and buy them!! They have a really fruity taste to them, it’s not over powering as well which means you can pair it with the normal cheese you enjoy and get the extra flavour that is bound to make you happy! Although I don’t have children I reckon they would be amazing for lunch boxes, course you’d have to check with the school because I’ve heard there are some weird restrictions on what children can take into school these days!

So the cheese oatcakes are perfect for Christmas, I covered that I think. The cheese and the fruit and seed oatcakes are perfect for lunch boxes, a child’s or adults for work. They come in individual packets which means you don’t need to worry about them going stale unlike a big packet. It’s pretty genius really. If you are wondering if these are ok to enjoy on Slimming World, the answer is yes, each oatcake is 2 syns.

Narin's Fruit and Seed Oatcakes

There you go, the two Nairns oatcakes I got to sample. They are just super yummy. I love the “on the go” aspect and the fact that they aren’t going to go stale if you open the pack and only eat a couple like other crackers. Again if you fancy some other flavour combinations then you need to head on over to their website and take a look at what else they have to offer because there are quite a few! You can buy them all through their website which is great because it means you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home and they get delivered straight to your front door! Perfect for Christmas when you’re already running around doing 100 things for the big day!
