If you haven’t been paying attention I’ll let you in on a little secret, which really isn’t a secret. The year 2022 is known as air fryer year, I have mine (Ninja Foodi Dual Zone 7.6L Air Fryer AF3) and I can’t get enough of it. I made these air fryer burgers and have to say they turned out amazing!!
This air fryer burger recipe is perfect for people that just want a nice, juicy burger but don’t want to wait around for ages for their cooker to heat up, to then flip halfway through and constantly check on them in case the oven isn’t at the right temperature. Seriously, you need an air fryer!
I’ve made these homemade airfryer burgers a few times now and every time I do, they taste amazing. I even added apple into this recipe which you can leave out if you like but I think it tastes amazing and gives it a whole lot more flavour!
Air Fryer Burger Recipe
These air-fried burgers are so easy to make, I love how straightforward they are. I do have a couple of tips that I think might be good to follow if you’re making this recipe. First I would say use mince with a low-fat content, this will reduce the amount of oil and fat that comes out of them and be easier when it’s time to clean up.
You can use a hamburger press if you want to, it does make the process a little easier but if you don’t want to that’s not a problem. Sometimes I will use mine whereas other times I prefer to just do it by hand, chuck them in the air fryer and wait till they’re cooked. Air fryer hamburgers are great and so versatile like that.
If you’re making these air-fried burgers I would suggest adding some flavour, with these burgers I’ve added apple to give it a nice sweet, juicy flavour and garnished with salt and pepper to bring the flavour out a little more. If you’re not using apple or even if you are, you could put a spice in it to give it a kick if you wanted.
Also, I’d suggest putting baking paper into the air fryer, as the mince contains a lot of the oil and fat that comes out of the burger, you won’t need to worry about this if you’re using silicone inserts in your air fryer.
