Doner Kebab Fakeaway

Doner kebabs are nothing new, they have been around since the Ottoman Empire, the origins of the doner kebab come from Turkey. Since the origins of the kebab, the way that it is normally cooked is on a vertical rotisserie, this is still the same method that is used in every kebab place. The mixture in the kebab has changed and does change from recipe to recipe, so you will find that there are some takeaways that are better than others, the fakeaway version can also tweaked to include different meats, spices and herbs.

Conclusion

The slimming world doner kebab is one of my favourite fakeaway meals, it is simple to make, you can always tweak the recipe if you are wanting a little more chilli in the mixture. This is always going to be a crowd-pleaser, just remember, you need to slice the meat thin enough to give you the traditional taste. I’d never heard of a fakeaway (thought you kept having a typo!) but I do love the concept. We often cook better, healthier, tastier, and cheaper at home so staying in is usually a no-brainer.
