If you’re looking for a proper British slimming world dinner, you’ve come to the right place. Every since I can remember I’ve been having spag bol and loving it. I’m pretty sure it’s been made at least once within every home in the UK, right?
A nice slimming world dinner doesn’t mean it has to be bland, plain or totally boring. I know a few people think a spaghetti bolognese is basic and not all that, I disagree. You can add so much flavouring into the dish and any veg you want.
We love to add veg into ours and it packs it out so much! We have onions, peppers, mushrooms, shredded carrots and so much more into ours. Depending on if we have guests or not depends on what we put in them. I will also say if you don’t like mushrooms, we cut them so small that you wouldn’t even know they’re there!
Does you add any other vegetables into your meals? If so, what and in what meals?
The Best Slimming World Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe
If you want a slimming world spag bol recipe that’s bursting with flavour and will leave you full to the brim after, this is the one. I always find myself making too much and end up using it for a nifty slimming world lunch as well.
I make sure to season my dish, don’t be shy using them because it’s going to elevate the dinner and have everyone asking if there’s anymore! You won’t need loads of salt however because I always salt the water before putting the pasta in.
So when it comes to spaghetti Bolognese ingredients there’s so much that you can do. I have heard of slimming world spaghetti bolognese with celery if you want to give that a try, personally I’m not a big fan of the stuff!
I will also say adding vibrant veg can really help lift the dish. As you can see below before adding any veg it looks rather boring, however after it looks a lot more appealing and I actually want to eat it! One thing I will say is I like to use yellow or red peppers, I am not a fan of green.
Cheap Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe
These days I feel that everyone is looking to save a little money and I’m the total same! Whenever I make a meal plan I look at how I can save money on my food shop. Is it cheaper to make some yummy slimming world chips from scratch or should I buy a bag of frozen oven chips? Normally I make my own!
Budget meals are something that should be made available to everyone. Money gets tight, some months we have enough of it and other months there’s hardly any left, I’ve been there and still go there and there’s nothing wrong with that at all! Saving money in the kitchen is smart!
Making cheap and healthy meals is super important, this dish only costs £3.40 to make which is great. If you’re following a strict shopping list it’ll help you save money in the long run and trust me you’ll thank me. Do you use a meal plan?
