Who’s in the mood for some soup? I love my soup recipes and how easy and quick they are to make. You might be thinking, soup isn’t quick. It is if you have a soup maker! This Swede soup recipe is perfect for a cold winter’s night and I can’t wait for you to try it!

Now, this is called a swede soup recipe, also known as a Rutabaga Soup for the fancy people out there. However, I like to make sure it’s packed with a multitude of vegetables. I will say that if you’re planning on putting parsnip in it, be careful as the taste can overpower mostly everything else in the soup.

- Soup Maker
- Chopping Board
- Knife
- Vegetable Peeler
Ingredients
- 500 g Swede / Rutabaga
- 600 ml Water
- 1 Vegetable Stock Cube
- 2 Parsnips
- 2 Carrots
- 1 Medium Onion
- ½ tsp Thyme
- ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- ¼ tsp Salt
Instructions
- Peel the swede, carrots and parsnips and cut it into chunks.
- Peel and cut the onion into wedges.
- Add all of the ingredients into the soup maker and turn it on to the smooth setting and leave to cook and blend.
- Serve with warm bread, croutons or enjoy on its own.
