We have all had the traditional lasagne, well this is something different, a completely new twist on a classic, oh and what makes it even better, this Spicy Chicken Lasagne has a kick.
Easy Chicken Lasagna Recipe
This is a very easy chicken lasagne recipe, yes it does have a few ingredients, however, everyone who likes to keep a well-stocked cupboard of herbs and spices, this will for sure start using some of those spices.
If you want to give the family something different and something with a kick, this is going to do it. One part of this recipe which in my opinion is down to taste is the spices, my partner doesn’t like too much spice, this recipe was right on the top for them, it was perfect for me. So if you want it to have a bit more of a kick, then you may want to add some more chilli and paprika, just remember to be careful on how much you do put in.
Is pasta good for you?
This is a long term argument, is pasta good for you? Well, the simple answer is in moderation, yes it is. Pasta is high in carbohydrates (carbs), so they do have to be eaten in moderation. Pasta is eaten by a lot of athletes, sportspersons and regular gym-goers. Why? Pasta is a carbohydrate, which is massively important for the glycogen stores and giving your body the energy it needs when it needs it.
What is pasta made from?
Pasta is traditionally made from durum wheat and either eggs or water, then it is shaped into different shapes, including penne, macaroni, rigatoni, orzo, fusilli and so many more. Now, pasta is such a common dried food, it is made from normal wheat and water, although you can get higher quality pasta, the cheaper varieties are absolutely perfect.
What is the difference between pasta and spaghetti?
Pasta is the generic term used for all types of pasta from rigatoni, ravioli, fusilli, penne and more. Spaghetti is just one type of pasta, spaghetti is a long, cylindrical and solid type of pasta. Pasta and spaghetti are all made from the same ingredients.
How Many Syns Are In The Spicy Chicken Lasagne Syn Free?
Well, the simple answer is zero, this is a syn free recipe, however, that is if you are using the cheese as your healthy extra. If you’re using the cheese and needing to syn it, there are in fact 16 syns for the whole mean, meaning that each serving is 4 syns. For something this delicious, you can afford the syns and still have syns left over for something extra.

Slimming World Lasagne
Lasagne is a very traditional recipe, however, this recipe really turns a lasagne on its head and makes it pack a punch. If you’re not a fan of pasta, courgette or leek. I have tried it with both. You need to make sure that you blanch the courgette or leek before you use them, just remember to try and leave them on some kitchen paper before use to get rid of as much water as possible.
Then you make the lasagne and layer it up in exactly the same way as you would if you were using pasta lasagne sheets. You can also check out some of my other slimming world pasta dishes including Chicken Carbonara, Baked Meatballs and Pasta, Fanta Chicken and Pasta or even my favourite and that is slimming world diet cola chicken. Cooking doesn’t have to be boring, tasteless or expensive, you can make great meals with less.

Conclusion
As you will have seen from the Spicy Chicken Lasagne recipe, I have made a few tweaks to make it right and not be over the top of the spices. Like I have said previously if you like spice, then feel free to add more paprika and chilli powder, this is down to your own judgement. These little tweaks have really made this dish stand above others, especially due to the amount of flavour and goodness that can be tasted. If you want to this of this is a traditional lasagne in its method, just with chicken and spices. Let me know how you got on with this recipe, let me know what and if you made any other tweaks to the recipe.
