Slimming World Fanta Chicken
Slimming world has some really amazing recipes and this Slimming World Fanta Chicken recipe is the perfect one for a syn free dinner. This dinner is syn free which means you can fill up on some yummy fanta chicken and pasta for the night and have room for a yummy slimming world pudding after!
Now if you are thinking it is strange to cook with a fizzy drink, I get that, I thought the same, but I gave this recipe a go and realised actually how good it is. The Slimming World Diet Fanta / Fanta Zero Chicken is a Sweet and Sour Chicken, healthier than any takeaway and so much nicer, why not come and give it a try?
You will be surprised at how nice this recipe is, you have the complete control as that what is in it, how sweet or sour the dish is, the power is in your hands.
I have cooked this for family and friends who are not following Slimming World, they were so surprised at how nice it tasted and that you can eat it on Slimming World, they thought I had made a “normal” sweet and sour. Needless to say, they have now got the recipe and are making it themselves.

This Slimming World sweet and sour chicken is the great meal for the family, cooking with Fanta makes this turn into a sweet and sour flavour, it is certainly delicious and a certain family favourite. You can make a vegetarian version by using Quorn Chicken Style pieces instead of real chicken, again follow the recipe and it will be perfect.

If you have never cooked with fizzy drinks before, then this may be a new experience for you. I have only cooked with Fanta Zero and Coke Zero / Diet Coke. I have been tempted to try and cook with other fizzy drinks such as Dr Pepper, Lemon Fanta and even Cherry Coke, what do you think, should I give this a try and let you know how it turns out?

Recipe For Diet Fanta Chicken

Slimming World Fanta Zero Chicken
Equipment
- Large Deep Frying Pan / Skillet
Ingredients
- 300 g Pasta
- 350 g Chicken Breasts Chopped into bite size pieces
- 500 ml Fanta Zero / Diet
- 4 tbsp Passatta
- 1 Medium Onion Chopped
- 100 g Red Pepper Chopped
- 50 g Mushrooms Sliced
- 50 g Pineapple Chop into chunks
- 1 Chicken Stock Cube
- 1 – 2 tsp Vinegar Use 1 tsp, add more to taste to get sour flavour
- Pinch Chilli Flakes
- Frylight
Instructions
- Fry the onions until they are soft and then added the chicken pieces and cook.
- Add ALL the other ingredience, except pineapple.
- Put a pan of boiling water on, put in enough pasta and cook the pasta until it is ready. After 10 minutes, remove the lid, stir the Coke Chicken and leave for a further 10 minutes until the sauce goes thick.
- Reduce the sauce till it thickens, then add pineapple.
- Strain the pasta and rinse with boiling water from the kettle to get rid of any excess starch. Put pasta into a bowl, make a little hole in the middle, serve the Fanta chicken and enjoy!!
