There are a few hints and tips I’d suggest following when you’re making this slimming world cupcakes recipe. Sometimes cupcakes can be a total pain to make and things go wrong. An example, I tried making cupcakes once, got them out and they sunk and ended up in the bin.
If you’re going to make this mixture I would suggest using a wooden spoon to mix the mixture. If you want a nice and fluffy slimming world cupcake, by hand is the best way. That being said I know people like to use an electric mixer which is fine and easier. If you’re going to use an electric mixer, don’t overmix it!
I also need to stress, follow the ingredients and don’t go over. I’ve found people complain that the recipe doesn’t work and they don’t know why. When I ask them they say they’ve added more flour than needed or they decided to use less of something else. If you change the recipe, it might not work.

How Many Syns In Slimming World Chocolate Chip Cupcakes? – 3.5 Syns
You might be thinking that these slimming world chocolate cupcakes are full of syns. If I’m honest it was a nightmare to get them down because they’re just so tasty and I didn’t want to compromise on taste. Also, cupcakes are tricky because if you take some bits out, the recipe might not work!
This slimming world chocolate chip cupcake recipe however only has 3.5 syns in it, which I find amazing. To some people, this may still be too many syns and no good for them, however, I think it’s amazing and I’ve seen some recipes where you’re looking at 5/6 syns per cupcake and that just won’t do.
I wish I could make you some syn free slimming world chocolate cupcakes but that’s just not possible, not if you want to lose weight that is.
Slimming World Chocolate Chip Cupcakes Recipe
I’d love to know your thoughts on this slimming world chocolate cupcakes recipe. If you want you can add chocolate chips on top to make them even nicer. Within this recipe I haven’t added chocolate chips to the recipe so you’ll have to work that out yourself I’m afraid.
You can always double the recipe if you want to make even more, personally, this recipe is enough. It makes 12 cupcakes easily as long as you put the same amount of mixture in each. Making 12 also means you won’t overeat them, just make sure you have someone to share them with!

Low Syn Slimming World Chocolate Cupcake Recipe
- Muffin Tray
- Cupcake Cases
- Mixing Bowls
- Silicone Spatula
- 100 g Self Raising Flour
- 150 g Low Fat Sunflower Spread
- 25 g Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tbsp Sweetner
- 25 g Chocolate Chips
- 4 Eggs
- Preheat oven to 180°C, 400°F, Gas Mark 6
- In a large bowl, add the self raising flour, low fat spread, vanilla, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix until combined.
- Add the eggs to the mixture, make sure you mix the eggs until it is all combned.
- Add the chocolate chips and mix until they are evenly spread throughout the mixture.
- Portion into 6 cupcake cases and bake in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the middle of the cupcake.
