low calorie chickpea soup recipe moroccan

If you follow me you’ll know that I love making my soup maker and I’ve recently done this chickpea soup in the soup maker and let me tell you, yum! This Moroccan chickpea soup was something I’ve wanted to try for a while but my partner isn’t the biggest fan of chickpeas, you can imagine my surprise when they loved this soup!

If you’ve been following me a while you’ll know that I can’t get enough of my soup maker. Since I got it it’s been a total life changer. It’s better for energy usage and it’s a lot quicker than using the hob to make soups. Gone are the days when you spend an hour on the hob making soup and not even wanting it by the time you’re finished.

This chickpea soup recipe is even easier to make than some of my other recipes. Most of the ingredients you can buy in a can from your local supermarket and you don’t have to stand there chopping ingredients for 20 minutes, it’s an easy soup recipe anyone can make and I love it.

Moroccan Chickpea Soup Recipe Tips

Obviously, a good soup maker is needed for this recipe, I use the Morphy Richards soup maker that I’ve had for 5+ years now and it’s still going strong. If you’re going to get a soup maker I’d suggest that one, it’s an investment and you’re not going to need to replace it anytime soon!

You can make this soup on the hob if you want but it will take a lot longer. If you’re going to make this recipe I would advise making sure you don’t have whole tomatoes as you won’t be blending the soup so you might have whole tomatoes which can ruin it.

This low-calorie chickpea soup is great for weight loss, you can add other vegetables if you want although they aren’t needed.
